Here in France Creationism is very seldom defended  and is nothing but one
of the many manifestations of religious  integrism . When in France , land
of the Lights where critical spirit used to be taught in the " Ecoles de la
 République " ( I am not at all sure that it is now ... )  ,  state
education is laic according to the Law  Creationism mainly expresses itself
in state public schools where some pupils want to impose the archaic  rules
and obscurantist views which  their ignorant and narrow-minded clerics
impregnate them with   by  refusing the teaching of Darwinism  and do not
even hesitate ,  sometimes ,  to use violence to prevent their teachers from
teaching them   what their clerics censure  , e.g.  sexual education ,
Darwinism ,  History whether it is critical to their own religion  or not in
accordance with their own political views ( even when it is  fully supported
and documented ) . Some of them even refuse Physical Education  teaching .
In my  very humble opinion  believers should be convinced that Creation
includes ... Evolution . Franck Frydman
