The pisidiologist Hans Kuiper wrote several papers (mainly in Dutch) on the
French malacologist J.-R. Bourguignat. Bourguignat, it appeared, was a
natural born disser.
I have one of Bourguignat's writings (published in 1882), titled "Lettres
malacologiques a MM. Brusina d'Angram et Kobelt de Francfort" and it is a
all the way to page 54 (Pour moi, je tâcherai d'être un peu moins dur au
[genus name probably deliberately not printed in italics, MF], je leur
BONNE PLAISANTERIE! [last words in capitals. MF].
