Did you get any replies? I can recommend several books that contain some
imfromation on juvenile shells from Florida.

Perry, L. M. and J. S. Schwengel. 1955. Marine Shells of the Western Coast
of Florida. Paleontological Research Institution, Ithaca, NY. 318 pp. 55
plates, covers some juvenile shells. They maintained some eggs in an
aquarium and then described what the juveniles looked like when they
hatched. Also, B. Winner did the same thing in some of her books.

Winner, B. E. 1985. A Field Guide to Molluscan Spawn, Volume I. E. B. M.
Publications, North Palm Beach, FL. 139 pages.
Winner, B. E. 1991. A Field Guide to Molluscan Spawn, Volume II. E. B. M.
Publications, North Palm Beach, FL. 94 pages.
Winner, B. E. 1993. Life Styles of the Seashells. E. B. M. Publications,
North Palm Beach, FL. 61 pages.
Winner, B. E. 1999. The Sexual Behavior of Mollusks: Land-Freshwater-Sea.
E. B. M. Publications, North Palm Beach, FL. 123 pp.

If there are other books I would be interested to hear about them as well.

Does anyone know of any book available on how to identify juvenile
shells. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
