Dear folks!

Do any of you have access to the figure and description of
Voluta ancilla contained in

DÁvila (1767)Catalogue des curiosités de la Nature, 1:140, no
181, fig. S ????

Would it be possible to send me a scan? My intention is to
figure it in a paper.

Another question is:

Which species of Volute can be found in California area??
I came across a bibliografic reference to a taxon collected in
California (Monterey Bay) but there is no figure of it, and i
wonder wich specie can it be. The shell has four columelar folds
and about 3 inches long... Any tip?

Thanks
Fabio Wiggers
