Can't help with the names - in fact if you find a good book on this please
post it as I have also wanted something similar.  As to the silicon, I truly
believe silicon is silicon.  You can pick up a spray can of silicon
lubricant at any hardware store or auto parts store.  I get mine at a local
Ace Hardware Store.
