Hi Scott do you realise the size of such a data base created by
non-professionals without financial assistance??are you interested in
devoting the rest of your life to it?
 
If your dinkum and you or some one else wants to go ahead with this
project, which I agree is highly desirable, I will gladly give you on
computor disc or email 1700 valid species names and presently known
distribution through out the Indo-Pacific of Spondylus and bivalves.
