Do you (or someone you know well) live near, or visit, beaches in Palm Beach County, Martin County, St. Lucie County, or Indian River County, on the central part of the Florida East Coast?
If so, would someone be willing to pick me up a handful of beach-worn valves of the Spectral Bittersweet, Glycymeris spectralis? That species I can be quite common in that area, so I understand.
I have been finding a Glycymeris in the West Indies that looks very similar but not quite identical to that species. I very much need some comparison material. Florida beach-worn single valves would be the ideal comparison, as the West Indian material I have is also beach-worn single valves.
Thanks for any help or suggestions.
