Actually, running away is a very valid defense. Scallops do it all the
time. Well, not the H.gigantea, but when you dive around scallop beds in
the Puget Sound those little fellas jet away fast. As for the byssal
thread round-up..Aaron, that one sounds kind of like a sea story to me.
Anyone ever actually video this occurring?
