Didn't see any answers to your questions so here it is from the desert southwest
where the ants will eat anything.  Yes you can bury a shell here and the ants will
clean it out.  Actually, I have only tried it once away from the beach and
something (probably a coyote dug up my shell and carted it off).  But I have heard
others tell of using ants here.  I prefere bleach but the ants will probably
oblige.  As for the Tibia, last one I saw listed was by Guido Poppe, I think.
 
Finally, welcome to Conch-L.  Hopefully your next question will get a bit more of
a response.  I think everyone is a bit worn down by some heavy conversations on
ethics and the environment.
