Dear Paul et al;-
   I think you have to add a caveat to the number of names by a given
author. The Sowerby boys named 89 Epitoniums. BUT 22 of them are
synonyms of previously named species. Dall named a good many more than
the Sowerbys but only about 40% stand up as creditable. As we have seen
even recently: names are cheap, but credibility takes a bit more time.
