We are starting to design a database for conchologists/malacologists.
This will be more than just a "collection organizer", and will be a
useful research tool. To that end we require some beta testers.
Essentially, we will provide you with exactly the kind of database you
need and it will also contain a number of features that you had not
even thought of. It might be the same for everyone, or it might have
optional modules for specific uses.
 
The database will use run-time Access, so will be self-contained and
not require any other purchase. All we require from beta testers is
feedback, including everything on your wish list, to give us the
chance to make the product that is everything that you require.
 
Of course, every beta tester gets to keep the finished product (with
upgrades) for free in gratitude for their help. For everyone else --
don't worry, it won't be expensive!
 
While we certainly require specialists, a few generalists will also
provide valuable information. All we want are people who hope that
their collection might advance knowledge im some manner -- you don't
have to be a professional. Whatever your connection with this field,
we want your input: for instance, we certainly want to hear from
divers. We can also work with you to provide various language versions
as well, although all the testing will be in English.
