John H. Kaicher, M.D., M.P.H., the son of SDK wrote to advise us of the
death of his mother on March 29, 1999 at age 77 following a short
illness.  Dr. Kaicher did not share the interest of his mother in
malacology, but was very aware of her contributions through her series
of Cards.
