For those interested in cush things I have begun to put together a "Rogue's
Gallery" of Conchologists and Malacologists with photos (in most cases) and
short bios.

Most of the information in the bios came from:  Abbott, R.T., and M.E.
Young (eds.).  1973.  American Malacologists: A national register of
professional and amateur malacologists and private shell collectors and
biographies of early American mollusk workers born between 1618 and 1900.
American Malacologists, Falls Church, Virginia.  Consolidated/Drake Press,
Philadelphia.  494 pp.

I will be soliciting photos for those folks I don't have photos of in the
future.  There were 4-5 three-ring binders at the Santa Barbara AMU meeting
with hundereds of wonderful photos of mostly dead white guys.  If anyone
out there knows who owned those and how to contact him I would appreciate
the info.  As always comments, corrections, and criticism are welcomed.
