Compendium Of Seashells by Abbott & Dance lists Chlamys irregularis (Sowerby,
1842), Syn. cookei Dall, Bartsch & Rehder, 1938. Guidebook To Pecten Shells
by A. Rombouts lists both as valid species. Compendium lists Pacipecten
leucophaeus (Reeve, 1852) from lower Caribbean as valid, Syn. linki Dall,
1926. Guidebook To Pecten Shells lists both species as valid. P. leucophaeus
from Caribbean waters, P.
linki from Gulf of Mexico, Florida. Anyone have any thoughts on these
species? If anyone has a spare specimen of leucophaeus or linki please
contact me personally. Will trade or purchase.
