The communication a few days ago about the book, A SHELL GAME
(reminiscing about shell collecting) got me to wondering if list
members can suggest other works of travel writing, memoirs, and
fiction that concern shell collecting, and/or can suggest a
bibliography for same.

On another topic: I can't remember if I thanked the kind people who
responded to my query about shelling at Miami Beach last December.
If I didn't--thanks so very much, both for the encouragement not to
give up in advance and for the advice about when and where to look,
what to look out for. It really made my trip magic and memorable.
