I beg to differ in your opinion that this species belongs in the genus
Cirsotrema. Looking at various pictures and specimens, it is clearly
Boreoscala (subgenus of Epitonium).

Looking at the list of recognized species of Epitoniidae from USNM, blainei
is not even listed. What I would suggest is to contact MCZ because that is
most likely where the type material of this species is located (at least I am
guessing that because it is authored by Clench and Turner, 1953).
