I met an old man who ran a souvenir shop at the volcano near Hilo, Hawaii.
He said he threw a bottle of gin daily into the volcano, hopefully appeasing
"Pele" the goddess of volcanoes.  Of course, he drank the contents first.
So if you can't get out of Floyd's way try the bottle of gin the middle
approach.
