I have cleaned micros like caecum with Hydrogen peroxide.  I cover the
shells with a little peroxide and it will remove the animal and the
operculum will just be lying there, and I didn't chip any shells.  They
still appear glossy.  Can this be so simple.  Will the shells
self-distruct in the years to come?
