Today I saw this specimen of "Cyphoma eludens Lorenz & Brown, 2015"
for sale on shellauction.net:
http://shellauction.net/auction_shell.php?id=1514869&pres=1
I'm sorry, but the name is completely bogus. This shell is Cyphoma
aureocinctum (Dall, 1889). Same for the holotype specimen at MNHN:
https://science.mnhn.fr/institution/mnhn/collection/im/item/2000-27250
I would like to hear arguments for how this shell is a different
species from C. aureocinctum (it isn't, but I still want to hear the
arguments).
