Dear David,
In my years of collecting shells in Florida, I have found live=20
Conus spurius as
follows:
* Two live specimens in Blind Pass (between Sanibel and Captiva),
in=20=
the
shallows, 1967
* One live specimen on off shore shallow reef area, Key West, FL,
1991
I've found dead ones in various places in S.W. FL, from N. of Tampa
to Marco Island and Key West, both diving and washed up on shore.
