With full respect to the professional collections and the professionals.
Considering that there is a gas release from these - and most collections
(e.g. Glass "disease" ... )
are filtered air or air flow - It might :
Be wise to monitor or real time test the outflow for these gases
and have an alert to act upon. Local testing might be by a hand
unit - if there is one reasonable in design and price.
It can be costly both ways. Something to look at. Perhaps the
Chemistry or Chemical Engineering departments could be enlisted
as a 'how to' contest or simply this or that.
Maybe the best way is to have capture filters in the out gas routes
and take samples to a Gas chromatograph instrument.
I'm Physics/Engineering background so concept comes to my mind.
