I had thought that Kline's had bought the Foote material, but it's the
other way around. Kline was advertising that he was selling shells as
of 1868, so he deserves consideration as one of the earliest shell
dealers in the U.S. Foote bought Kline's material and evidently
resold it, given Aldrich having obtained it.
