A good friend of mine generously brought me some "shells" that she found in the Bahamas. Unfortunately among the shells were six live Cenchritis muricatus -- she had no idea the shells were "occupied", as the operculum was hardly visible because the animals were so retracted. The animals were very dried out of course, as they usually are, living so far up in the splash zone, but they revived immediately they were rinsed off with tap water and started cruising around.
I am in NYC. Any idea what I could do with them?
