Thanks, Andrew G., for sharing the experience with peroxide. I've never
soaked a shell in it. When I have a translucent specimen that doesn't jet
completely, I put it spire-down in Styrofoam and inject the H2O2 into the
spire. In a few hours I jet again. I've used it mostly with "marginellids"
and haven't had a problem. I prefer to avoid chemicals altogether.
