I recently received via e-mail a riddle purportedly written by Albert
Einstein sometime in this century. There was no answer, and it came with
the statement that Einstein had said 98% of the population could not solve
it.. Lynn Scheu translated it into a shell-related riddle, and solved it.
Tom Eichhorst did a double-check and agreed with Lynn's answer. So the
first person with the earliest "Sent" time (except Lynn or Tom, of course)
who posts a correct answer that agrees with Lynn's and Tom's answer, will
get a near-world record (just a hair under) Janthina janthina through the
mail from me.

I will post the solution and explanation by Lynn after I receive a winner.

Good luck!

Conch-L has members from all over the world. Recently, five notes
came in to Conch-L, one after the other. The notes were written by five
list members of five different nationalities. Each Conch-L member wrote
a note with a different subject header. Each member has a different
screen name, a different collecting specialty, and a different favorite
shelling spot.

The question is, who collects Freak Micros?

Hints:

The Aussie's screen name is Clammy.

The Canadian collects Sinistral Nerites.

The Spaniard loves most to collect in the Sahara Desert.

DredginFool wrote his note just before Murexhead.

DredginFool's favorite shelling spot is the Mediterranean.

The Conch-L member who wrote about "Flying Pigs I've Known and Loved"
collects Pleurotomaria.

ShellzRUs wrote his note about "Collecting Historic Shell Labels."

The third Conch-L member to write a note says Australia is his favorite
collecting spot.

The Austrian wrote the first note.

The Conch-L member who wrote a note about the "Houston Convention 2000"
wrote his note either just before or just after the person who collects
Terra del Fuego landshells.

The Conch-L member who collects Dead Unionidae wrote his note either just
before or just after the person who wrote "Collecting Historic Shell
Labels."

The Conch-L member who wrote "Best Collecting Spots in Baffinland" lists
Easter Island as his favorite collecting spot.

The Frenchman wrote with "Test" as his subject.

The Austrian wrote his note just before or just after Shell Hog.

The Conch-L member who wrote his note about the "Houston Convention 2000"
wrote just before or just after the member who says the Philippines is his
favorite collecting locality.
