Hi, Conch-Lers!
In reading the CITES list for Niades, I went ahead and perused the whole list. Under gastropods, I found a whole list of Achatinella species. Is this a land genus or a fresh water genus?

I just have to add this to the how-to-collect instructions for land snails. NEVER put them in bleach! In most, the color is in the periostracum, unlike marine snails. Also, keep them away from heat; I once ruined a Papuina pulcherrima which got close to the stove, or a radiator, I don't remember which, and its nice emerald green colort turned to dull forest green.

                        Cheers, Linda
