Maybe not. I believe Rumina has already been introduced to Florida (see:
Dundee, Introduced Gulf Coast molluscs, Tulane Stud. Zool. Bot. 16:101-115,
1970). The fact that Rumina has not already spread widely in Florida (in
comparison to some other snails, for example, Lamellaxis gracilis) may be an
indication that it either doesn't compete well against the native snails
(perhaps, against Euglandina rosea, the native carnivorous snail) or
something else in the environment isn't just right.
