Hello!

Hi to all,

Yes the Liguus seem to have been affected by mosquito spraying. It is
only a theory with no proof. The spraying in North Key Largo seems
to have stopped due to Schaus' Swallowtail being on the endangered list,
the Liguus ARE NOT on the endangered list. They are considered
a "Species of Special Concern" by the State of Florida.

The Coconut Palms in Florida were affected/decimated by a virus some
years ago and have now been replaced by a resistant species.

Have the "authorities" tied malathion to the lobster malaise or is it just
a theory? This lobster malaise seems to happen in cycles in the sound.

Later,

Emilio Jorge Power
