Dear Conch-lers,

a friend of mine gave me a fossil shell from the Pliocene of Italy,
Certaldo, Firenze. A label accompanying it said that it is a Strombus
coronatus. No author was given! Is there a Strombus-expert out there who
knows who named this species first and in which paper or book it was
published?
I am looking foward to a response
Marco
