Unless other workers have challenged this, Alan Beu (1985, COA Bulletin,
vol 13, no. 4, p. 63) proposed that Bursa grayana (Dunker, 1862), a species
first named from a (Caribbean? Miocene?) fossil shell, and B. pacamoni
Matthews and Coelho, 1971, a Recent species, are two names applied to the
same species. The older name prevails in this case.
