Dear John (and others),

From it's Latin derivation, I presume 'perspective' means that you can see
through it. But the only shells I know of where you can sometimes see
through the umbilicus out the other side are Architectonicidae when they're
worn. I suppose in this case they mean the umbilicus is really wide and
open (which they've already said in the previous words)
