Dear Ellen;
        Hope you become very successful at nomading!! The Conch-l archives
(found at
http://www.listserv.uga.edu/archives/conch-l.html) are a great resource,
and one can look up messages by a wide variety of paramaters: subject,
date (you can get all the messages for a given week, for example: on the
front page, below the choices, is a list of all the weeks Conch-l has
been active, back to the famous day in Oct. '97 when Mariah Lawson
enquired about Pectens to "the Board"!), thread, author, etc. If
everyone researched the archives before asking the list, Conch-l would
almost dissappear! (so don't everyone rush out and do this.....)

From the Great Red, burning-up North,
Ross.
