A friend called me tonight asking for an ID of a shell she called "peigne'
(comb) from Tahiti or New Caledonia. Shell looks like a crab. Is off white.
It sounded like a spider conch, but couldn't tell over the telephone. She
was given this shell and wanted me to identify if (?)

Any help would be appreciated.

Carol
