Wishing everyone a splendid new year! A couple of questions for the
house: 1) How many species of left-handed Calliostoma are there? I
know about incerta Reeve, 1863 (a shallow-water Victoria state species
that i just can't seem to find!!!), but are there others?, and 2) How
common are true albino (ie, completely white) Lyropecten nodosus? I
once heard of one, but they seem to be just a tad rarer than Republican
Marxist-Leninists - is this perception correct?

From the great not-as-white-as-most-other-places-these-days north,
Ross Mayhew.
