I had an inquiry from Allan Connell that I can't answer. Can you?

"do you know if anyone can help me with the botanical
name of that plant which is apparently used underwater to attract
cowries in Fiji and perhaps elsewhere in the Pacific. I am alos looking
for some information on its ecology and geographical distribution, but
just a name would be a great start.
With thanks and greetings
Allan Connell"

Cypraea mostly eat algae like that that grows on an aquarium wall when
it isn't cleaned regularly. Friends had a C. tigris for about 10 years
and never cleaned the aquarium. It was rather nasty to look at but the
cowry liked it.
