Dear Paolo,
species of Colubraria and its relatives have sometimes been placed in their
own family, the Colubrariidae. That family was erected by DALL, 1904.
The placing in the family Fasciolariidae, following the systematics of
Vaught (1989) is certainly by mistake. Vaught refers for this position to
Beu & Maxwell (1987, A Revision of the Fossil and Living Gastropods related
to Plesiotriton Fischer, 1884 ... - with an Appendix: genera Buccinidae
Pisaniinae Related to Colubraria Schumacher, 1817, - New Zealand Geological
Survey Paleontological Bulletin 54), - but just these authors concluded in
this appendix (p. 59), that the species of Colubraria belong in the family
Buccinidae, near Pisania, and do not warrant their own family or subfamily
(like in ABBOTT (1974, American Seashells, p. 218).
The until now most current and uncontradicted placing on Colubraria is
following Beu & Maxwell:

Family Buccinidae RAFINESQUE, 1815
Subfamily Pisaniinae TRYON, 1881
          (syn. Colubrariidae DALL, 1904
                Fusidae Iredale, 1915)
Genus Colubraria SCHUMACHER, 1817

Best wishes,
Gert
