Hi all,

Question: Which way does the teardrop shaped operculum of Terebra
maculata actually fit into the shell when the animal is alive? I have
seen specimens where the perc has been mounted thin (pointed) side
up, others where it's thin side down. They both look right. Anyone
have the answer?

Thanks in advance!
Jim
