Dear All,

I am looking for a way to prevent Pinnidae from splitting and cracking when storing in a collection. I have several Pinna's, especially bigger ones, who are severely cracked and it seems that this process is increasing in time. Can I prevent this by oiling the shells or is there another way to prevent this damage to the shell ?
Thanks in advance for your help,

Bruno.
