Hello all,

I recently received some conidae from east columbia. Unfortunately the
labels were apart from the shells and as I do not really have any
experience with cones from this area, I am having some problems matching
the shells to the labels. I have looked in the literature i have available
and at some websites (thank you Marcos and Giancarlo) and many problems are
already resolved, yet some names remain a mystery and I hope someone can
help me out. If wanted i can provide photos.

Conus polae, Petuch : is this the same as Conus paulae and if so is it a
valid species and can anybody tell me where to find a picture of this shell.
Conus gibsonsmithorum, Petuch : Is it a valid species and where can i find
a picture or description.
Conus julieandreae, Gargile : Is it a valid species and where can i find a
picture or description.
Conus equinatus (do not even know the author) : Is it a valid species, who
is the author and where can i find a picture or description.
Conus sanctaemarthae : could this be a synonym of Conus granarius. If not
what are the differences.

Thanks in advance

Rika
