In the Mediterranean we have two, possibly three species of Verticordia.

V. granulata G. Seguenza, 1870
V. acuticostata (Philippi, 1844)
V. trapezoidea G. Seguenza, 1876

The only frequent species here (circalittoral) is V. trapezoidea.
