Very Interesting, Charlie!

Your message addressed the question of whether variations
can lead to the establishment of subspecies - I'm never
sure of when my Pecten names will have to be changed, but
then that is true of other families too.

I just wanted to say hi and how are you? I am still
working through the Dijkstra paper, slow going for an
amateur, but of great value.

Is Spring showing its arrival in your area? We have
daffodils in bloom, but St. Louis tends to get the
perennials up and then have a freeze, which "nips a lot of
them in the bud." I'm going to Florida the last ten days
in June. COA is too far away this year, and my girlfriend
and her husband, in Englewood, are avid shell collectors.
So I will shelling in her area, visiting Sanibel (I have
never seen the museum), and maybe even getting down into
the Keys. That should make up for no COA.

Hope you are well and happy,
Cordially,
Linda
