The factory ink MIGHT be resistant, but I bet the replacement ink won't be.

I use an HP  LaserJet-based Apple printer (b&w), so of course the ink
("toner") is waterPROOF. It's also ethanol-and-formalinproof, so I
use labels printed on it for my wet collection. Of course the
bookplats wouldn't look the same in b&w...
