I have one in my collection with fairly accurate data: In sand and rubble
at extreme low tide, Port Hedland, N/W W Australia, 1998. The author and
date is (Reeve, 1841)

Subject: Fimbria souverbii (Reeve, 1841)

1841) other than S.W. Pacific? And would Northern Queensland be a plausible
locality (this is the locality given for the shell I have). One of our club
members found a shell of this species, but in Roebuck Bay, West Australia.
Also, she has 1848 for the year of description (The Compendium has 1841).

doesn't usually have anything other than gastropods, but he had this in a
"miscelaneous" pile at the end of his table.
