Dear List, which name is the right one ?

Spondylus varius Sowerby, 1829
Spondylus varians Sowerby, 1829

Next question : is there somewhere a clear and definitive explanation about
the differences between Spondylus princeps s.s, S. p. leucantha and S. p.
unicolor ?

Next question: oooow there are too much questions about Spondylidae, which
can be resumed in this one:
What is the name of the common area between interpretation (surat),
knowledge (theorem) and belief (credo) in Spondylidae ? The Great Noddles
Dish ?
I think it was labelled Hic sunt leones on ancient maps.
I hate using analogy. Any idea ?

Olivier Caro
