Hi Vicky,

Checked luggage may contain those items, but when security x-rays
your bags, they may choose to not allow them. However, I regularly
travel with a dive knife and dental tools and as long as I have them in
my suitcases, there has been no hassle. They will definitely confiscate
such "dangerous implements" if you try to carry them onboard in your
carry-on luggage. Other no-nos include pliers, screwdrivers, crescent
wrenches and various other small tools.

Happy 2005!
Jim
