I'm afraid you have it backwards.  Female Tritogonia (Quadrula)
verrucosa are shorter, with a more truncate and inflated posterior
margin.

    Yes, Tritogonia verrucosa does exhibit sexual dimorphism and you are
right the longer form is the female.
