Emilio Garcia is fine, and Emily Vokes seems to have made a non-emergent
evacuation.  Emilio wrote:

"The city of Lafayette was at the very edge of the storm, and only had a
little rain and wind. Baton Rouge,only 47 miles from here, suffered a lot
of damage. We were very fortunate. However, I have many friends who have
lost their homes.

"Emily stopped by yesterday morning on her way to Houston. Ponchatula, the
town where she lives, will be without electricity for about three weeks, so
she is going to spend it with relatives. Meanwhile, Lafayette is inundated
with refugees. It is heartbreaking."
