Hi,

I've got a commemorative book about the history of the National Geographic
Society and in it there is a photograph of a painting of the foundation
meeting of the NGS. W.H.Dall is one of the persons depicted in that painting.
So apart from his work in malacology he is also one of the founding fathers
of the National Geographic. Truly impressive!
