In Trochidae / Gibbulini, I often notice that Phorcus Risso 1826 is
considered as a true genus; but it is sometimes placed as a subgenus of
Gibbula Risso 1826.
I do not ask for the truth, which prefers to live hidden in a well, but what
is the up-to-date-average-opinion regarding the rank of this Phorcus ?
I will be happy to follow it.
Genus or Subgenus, comma, that is the question.

Olivier Caro
