Thanks all for your responses re Solemya velum. So now what about the "Common" Nutmeg, Cancellaria reticulata? Has anyone found it to be common in the last couple of decades? To my recollection, I've found it in the scallop dumps that originate from 100 feet off Carabelle, FL, although it's not exactly common there either.
